Casa Miranda, our spacious and comfortable home with fabulous views & a very private location, is available for holiday rental during the summer of 2010

We will be away for much of the summer and our rather nice home with spectacular views in a very private location on the hillside overlooking  Salobrena is available for holiday rental for up to 8 people.

Our home  has 5 bedrooms in all but one will be closed off to house our personal things.  The available bedrooms are two with double beds and two others each with twin beds all with comfortable, good quality mattresses. Both doubles are newly renovated spacious rooms one having a brand new en-suite shower / wet room. The other double is also a large room  with good views and shares an adjacent newly renovated bathroom (Bath, shower, basin and WC) with the two twin bedded rooms. There is also a separate cloakroom with WC in the upstairs living area. The house is very spacious inside and out with the living areas and outdoor terraces in keeping with a comfortable 5 bedroom family home rather than a normal holiday villa.

The pictures below give a pretty good idea of our home and one of the best features is privacy as we are at the end of a quiet cul de sac with a wooded valley beyond and we own the adjacent vacant plots on each side so there are no immediate neighbours! Another desirable feature is the easy connection between the outdoor and indoor living areas. The very spacious living room has a 4 meter wide single panel picture window framing a postcard perfect view of Salobrena, the castle and the sea. The dining table is very comfortable for 8 settings.  Immediately outside is an open terrace leading to the large covered eating area with a 10 seater circular table and outdoor kitchen/bar complete with a versatile and easy to use outdoor cooker/barbecue, drinks fridge and washing up facilities.  Outside there are also 6 sun loungers and a full size table tennis table. Access to the indoor kitchen is just a few steps away via the back door and within the kitchen is yet another table and chairs for occasional meals for up to 6.  Outside the ample garden area is mainly lawn with various palms, fruit trees and shrubs. On the plot below the villa we grow our own vegetables and you can help yourself to whatever is available there during your stay!

Amongst the fixtures, fittings and amenities are a water softener, water purifier for drinking water, air conditioning throughout, digital satellite TV with British terrestrial channels, most of the sports and movie channels plus  Spanish channels, DVD player, music system with ipod dock, electric piano/keyboard,  microwave, Miele dishwasher, big drum washing machine, tumble dryer, Dyson vacuum cleaner and of course a swimming pool.  There is a telephone and a PC with broadband internet connection & wifi so you can also connect your own laptop. 

Access for any elderly relatives is easy with just a couple of steps between the upper entrance (There are two entrances) and the main living area. The bedrooms, pool and main garden area are all one level lower. The house adjoins a wooded valley with abundant birdlife including golden oriels, hoopoes, bee eaters,  nightjars, scops owls, flycatchers, swallows, kestrels and various other interesting birds. There are no immediate neighbours on either side. There is free access to the  Monte de los Almendros community recreation area with 2 swimming pools and a tennis court just 5 minutes walk from the villa.  

The rental is 1800 pounds per week and Casa Miranda is available for much of the summer 2010!  

While we are away the pool and garden will be maintained as usual and the house cleaned with bed linen and bath towels changed each week. The house is very well equipped compared with most self catering villas.
